Hagar in the Wilderness by Federigo Berocci

1530-1612, An Italian painter born in Urbino, where he worked throughout his life. In the 1550s he traveled to Rome. He was influenced there by artists such as Raphael, Michelangelo, and Taddeo Zuccaro. He was knownd for his skill in portraiture, and he also completed a small number of significant engravings. Some of his more notable works are Saint Sebastian cathedral, circa 1557, Urbino, some frescoes in the Vatican done around 1561-63, and The Last Supper.

Some other known works by Federigo Barocci include: Aeneas and Anchises Fleeing Troy 1598, Federigo of Urbino in His Cradle, Madonna of the People 1579, Monsignore Giuliano della Rovere, 1559-1621. Also Noli me Tangere, Portrait of Ippolito della Rovere,1602. Self Portrait, Self Portrait, late 16th or early 17th century. Others include St. Francis Receiving the Stigmata after 1597, St. Jerome, Study of Aeneas and Anchises Fleeing Troy,1598, The Circumcision 1590, The Nativity, and The Nativity 1597. From research done, I believe the subject painting of "Hagar in The Wilderness" seems to have been lost over time as I have not yet found it represented in current collections.
