I am a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and except for a few short excursions to other areas have resided in Las Vegas since March 9, 1959. As a young boy, I got to watch the original El Rancho Vegas burn to the ground. Unfortunately, I did not get the pictures. I liked Las Vegas better when it was smaller, (and I believe most long time residents still prefer it that way) and casinos were personally owned by individuals, instead of corporations. Corporate Las Vegas started with Howard Hughes, and that was the end of an era of individually owned major properties. That's enough about my age!
This site is primarily intended to share some scenes that express to me, why I love the great Southwest, and hope to have captured some of that essence for you, through my photography.
I specialize in landscape and scenic photography, mostly in the areas of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. I offer custom printing of all my work, with specialized mounting and framing if requested. Approximately once a year, when able, I offer limited editions of what I consider some of that years best efforts. My last limited printings were in 2001.
I print limited editions, in sizes ranging from 24x36 to 30x40. All photographs on this site are available for purchase. Prices for these prints are quoted on request. All special edition prints are archivally mounted and matted suitably for the subject matter.
I have a portfolio of stock photography featuring the Southwest. Areas around the immediate Las Vegas vicinity, including the international climbing destination of Red Rock Canyon. I offer many shots of Las Vegas "scenes", and am available with advance reservations for your particular photographic needs while visiting Las Vegas, or the Lake Mead National Recreation area. My services include photojournalism, an occasional wedding, and custom classic, black and white portraiture.
I will be updating this site periodically with new images or samples of current projects. Please check back, and thank you for visiting.
